To minimize the spread of COVID-19, Rhode Island College is transitioning to remote course delivery until further notice. I have seen extraordinary work by students, faculty and staff as they prepare for teaching, learning and providing services in a remote environment via the web, video or teleconferencing tools and other alternative methods.

Even as we take swift action to adapt, the personalized, interactive and collaborative learning, the hallmark of Rhode Island College, will continue.

At the same time, members of our staff have begun to work remotely while still helping to carry out the business of the college. Their work to ensure uninterrupted operation of our critical functions has allowed us to navigate these uncharted waters.

In this difficult and challenging time, our campus community has found strength by coming together as never before and boldly supporting our students and each other. To each of you, I express my appreciation, gratitude, encouragement and continued support.

Yours in education,
Frank D. Sánchez, President
