Located in the Providence metropolitan area, the college campus is convenient for students and is within 5 miles of the major health care institutions of the State. The program partners with all the major health care agencies in the state to offer clinical education.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF CCNE ACCREDITATION

Providence VA Medical Center in Partnership with Rhode Island College School of Nursing, Entry-to-Practice Nurse Residency Programs: Post Baccalaureate and Transition-to-Practice

CCNE Virtual Accreditation: March 29-31, 2021

The Providence VA Medical Center in partnership with Rhode Island College is seeking reaccreditation of our Entry-to-Practice Nurse Residency Programs by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

The CCNE site visitors will be visiting virtually from: March 29th-31st. In the interest of continuous quality improvement and as required by CCNE, we would appreciate the written input of all interested parties.

In accordance with the CCNE Procedures for Accreditation of Entry-to-Practice Nurse Residency Programs (2015), the Commission provides the opportunity for program constituents and CCNE constituencies to submit, in writing, third-party comments concerning a program’s qualifications for accreditation status. Third-party comments must be received at the CCNE offices by March 8, 2021. Third-party comments must be signed and must be related to the CCNE Standards for Accreditation of Entry-to-Practice Nurse Residency Programs (2015). Comments are shared only with the CCNE evaluation team appointed to review the noted nurse residency program.
