LEARNING & TEACHING RESOURCES

ADAMS LIBRARY

Librarians are here to help faculty, staff, and students in this new all-digital instructional environment. In addition to the general Distance Education LibGuide, reference librarians have the ability to provide direct support for your new or newly redesigned digital courses. We are eager to discuss the possibilities including course, theme, or project-specific LibGuides or tutorials emphasizing digital resources. Contact Tish Brennan, Amy Barlow (Spring & Fall), or Dragan Gill.

Reference and Research Support will be providing research support through our digital reference services including email, text, and chat.

STUDENT ADA ACCOMMODATIONS

The Disability Services Center (DSC) is working collaboratively with User Support Servicesthe Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning (FCTL) and members of the faculty and staff to ensure that reasonable disability accommodations are met within the remote, accessible learning environment. Visit LEARNremote for more information about student ADA accommodations.

UNIVERSAL DESIGN FOR LEARNING

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in the teaching and learning environment fosters an educational experience that makes the curriculum inherently flexible, accessible and applicable to students with different backgrounds, learning styles and abilities, ultimately leading to success for the greatest proportion of students.

Faculty members who are interested in learning more about UDL may check out these resources:

WORKSHOPS

Both User Support Services and the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning (FCTL) have designed a set of workshops for faculty to transition their courses to an online environment. Please contact the Help Center at 401-456-8803 or email helpdesk@ric.edu for any training or support needs.

Some sessions will be recorded so you can watch them “on-demand” if you are unable to attend a session. Email fctl@ric.edu and we will add you to the list to send when they are available.
