Important COVID-19 Coronavirus Response Update

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Office of Undergraduate Admission’s goal is to be flexible and supportive, as we continue to assist candidates with the admission and enrollment process.

We will continue our holistic review of student applications (evaluation of full academic record and completed high school coursework; as well as consideration of the college essay, demonstrated potential, recommendations, and extracurricular activities) in order to make informed admissions decisions. Additionally, all applicants will be provided flexibility and will not be disadvantaged by the following:

  • Requirement of submitting standardized test scores (SAT or ACT): for candidates who have or will be impacted by test center closures, the College Board’s Decision to cancel test administration dates, or the profound financial barriers created by the Coronavirus Pandemic limiting student access.
  • Undergraduate admission criteria as it relates to grade change policies: for students who attend a secondary school that has adopted a pass/fail grading policy for the Spring 2020 term due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.

As we communicate our intentions to students and their families, as well as secondary school counselors and community-based organizations, we will continue to adapt to support students.

Thank you on behalf of the Admissions Team,

Jason Anthony
Director, Office of Undergraduate Admissions
