One of Rhode Island College’s key initiatives is to provide a high quality student experience. Part of that involves a focused investment in our infrastructure – both new construction and modernizing aging facilities. Over the next five years, we plan to invest over $310 million – including the updates to Gaige and Craig-Lee – in improving the spaces where our students learn and connect with each other.

The college initiated the process of developing a new campus master plan in October of 2016. At the current time that master plan is still under internal development.

We recently opened Gaige Hall, our second largest academic building, after a significant redesign and renovation aimed at increasing collaboration inside and outside the classroom. Read more about how we are reimagining the teaching and learning environment here! Construction on Craig-Lee, our largest academic building, is well underway and we will post updates soon! Other recent and current projects include major improvements to our residence halls and a renovated space by the Mount Pleasant entrance of the campus that will house a welcome center, campus security, and conference rooms.
