Academic Advising

The Academic Advising model at Rhode Island College is designed to help all undergraduate degree candidates stay on track for graduation. Students must meet with an advisor each semester regarding academic plans and their progress toward completing all academic requirements. Advising meetings provide the opportunity for students to discuss any concerns about classes, academic performance, as well as their major. The Universal Advising Hold (UAD) is removed by the student’s advisor during the meeting. Students can find the name of their advisor by logging into MyRIC and then clicking on My Academics, then access the link "View my Advisors".
