Susan Wood
Background
Susan Wood is instructor of bassoon at Rhode Island College and is highly sought after as one of the leading bassoon teachers in New England. She holds a bachelors degree in music education from the Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam, and a masters degree in bassoon performance from Indiana University. She is former principal bassoon in the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra and has performed with Ocean State Orchestra, Festival Ballet, the Great Woods Festival Orchestra, and at the Newport Music Festival. With the Northeast Chamber Ensemble she has performed on WGBH as well as hundreds of educational concerts in New England.
