RIC SON Students at NEC

The State of Rhode Island and Rhode Island College officials ushered in a new era of higher education and health innovation on Nov. 30, 2017, officially dedicating the South Street Landing development project in Providence, home to the Rhode Island Nursing Education Center.

The Nursing Education Center provides RIC School of Nursing graduate and undergraduate students, access to 133,000 square feet of laboratory, classroom and office space at 350 Eddy St. The Center combines leading technology with a rigorous experiential learning curriculum, placing Rhode Island at the forefront of the nation in nursing education.

Rhode Island College graduate nursing programs, from its master’s degree offering to the doctor of nurse practitioner are entirely housed at the center. Undergraduate nursing students begin taking classes at RINEC in their junior year. Students have access to the most technologically advanced classrooms, and a state-of-the-art simulation suite that provides comprehensive, hands-on experience.

Student Resources

Transportation to and from RINEC - Undergraduate nursing students who study at RINEC have access to free bus transportation directly to the Center via RIPTA. Students should park in Parking Lot A on the RIC campus and access #62/#66. The shuttle is free to all students with their RIC student ID.

Students have access to all of RIC’s student support services on the main Mt. Pleasant campus, including academic support, library, instructional technology, the recreation center and student activities and events.
