Experience the hands-on excitement of directly impacting individual and public health at our nationally ranked nursing program. This webinar describes what you’ll learn in our small classes and clinical groups, including information about curriculum, clinical experiences and the resources offered in the new, 133,000 square foot Rhode Island Nursing Education Center in downtown Providence.
Nursing – Opportunities for you in adult health, maternal health, pediatric health, psychiatric/mental health and public health nursing, as well as in research.
Did you know that our simulation center is one of only two accredited centers in Southern New England?
Did you know that our graduates routinely pass their national NCLEX-RN examinations at exceptionally high rates? In the last two years our B.S.N. grads have passed at rates 98 and 100 percent – from six to 15 points higher than the national average.
You’re arriving at just the right time! We’ve completely reworked our education program, with enhanced classroom interactions and increased field experiences. This webinar presents the school’s admission process in addition to what makes Rhode Island College the leading program for teacher preparation in the state for programs in education.
For students interested in working with vulnerable or underserved populations, explore what it would be like to work as a practitioner, clinician, advocate, or manager – like us, you’ll be committed to working with oppressed groups. This webinar highlights our social justice-driven curriculum, our extensive two-semester fieldwork placements across the state and Southern New England, and research opportunities with faculty and in the community.
Social Work – Opportunities await if you’re driven to serve the elderly, children and families, the mentally ill and those with health challenges.
Did you know that our program is at the forefront of incorporating telehealth into our curriculum?
Did you know that we also offer a continuing education certificate program in Child and Adolescent Trauma for community practitioners?
Meet with faculty from the School of Business, to learn about how our business programs emphasize applied knowledge and real-world professional experiences. This session showcases how we partner with leading companies and industry sectors in the region to benefit students in our various majors and professional development programs.
Did you know that a team of RIC finance majors just won second place in the Adirondack Cup – a stock-investment competition in the Northeast?
The Justice Studies and Sociology majors provide students with an opportunity to explore how individuals behave in organizations, families, and communities, the ways in which these social units function as groups, and the wider social, political, and economic contexts in which decisions are made and in which groups function.
. Sociology degrees prepare students for a wide variety of graduate programs, including those in public administration, social work, justice studies or criminal justice, law, and sociology itself.
