Eligibility:any English major of at least sophomore standing who will be continuing as a student at Rhode Island College in Fall 2016. How to apply: submit to Ms. Aywas in CL 264 Portfolio (either critical or creative writing) of no more than 20 pages in which the student’s name does not appear (portfolio should be labeled “critical” or “creative”) Cover sheet with your name, address, phone number, and student ID Student may submit two portfolios, one for each category.
Elgibility:any full-time junior or senior English major with the desire and evidence of aptitude to enter the field of teaching, who will be continuing as a student at Rhode Island College in Fall 2016. Eligibility: any declared English major who will have at least junior standing in Fall 2016, with a focus in British or American literature and a GPA of 3.0, who will be continuing as a student at Rhode Island College in Fall 2016. How to apply: submit to Ms. Aywas in CL 264 1-2 page statement about his/her interest in British or American Literature Transcript
Eligibility: Students majoring or minoring in English with an interest in reading, teaching, writing, and/or scholarship on children’s literature. How to apply: submit to Ms. Aywas in CL 264 Brief statement (1-2 page, approximately 300-600 words) from student on his/her interest in children’s literature. Transcript
