English Club

Do you ever want to talk about a book, or a film, or some other cultural event with others? Does language interest you? Do you enjoy writing? Do you want to work with people after you graduate college? Do you enjoy reading, thinking, and engaging the world head on? Then you should join the English Club. The English Club is for English majors and minors of any stripe, e.g., liberal arts, creative writing concentrations, secondary education, or elementary education). The English Club has been an official RIC student organization since 2007. The English Club sponsors events, including sessions on graduate school, how to apply, what it costs, and so on, along with writing workshops, film discussions, book discussions, talks & readings by professors and students, and free for all parties. The English Club works closely with the school literary magazine Shoreline. Get involved!

We are also organizing small, productive writing workshops to offer feedback to those who are creative writers.
