Institutional Approval

Institutional approval is required before any proposal (including continuations) can be submitted or contract signed on behalf of the college. In order to obtain Institutional Approval all proposals and continuations require a completed and fully executed Proposal Summary / Approval Form (PSAF) and a PSAF Budget Form. OSP serves as the central clearinghouse for all grants and contracts submitted or received on behalf of the college, and the PSAF guarantess that all requests are coordinated so that projects receive full institutional support and do not compete with each other. PIs are strongly encouraged to complete PSAFs at least two weeks in advance of a proposal deadline so that OSP can ensure that all signatures are obtained and proposals are ready for submission. Proposals cannot be submitted without full institutional approval, even if this means missing the deadline. More information on institutional approval can be found in the Policies and Procedures Handbook.

PSAF forms can be found on the OSP forms and templates webpage.
