Faculty and Staff
Once Faculty and Staff have activated their new account, they are eligible to download the latest Microsoft Office Suite. Information can be found by clicking the following link: /uss/Pages/Microsoft-Office-Software.aspx.
All college employees lose access to all RIC-licensed Office 365 products (including Exchange/email, OneDrive for Business and Office apps) based on their employee category and email access termination date as published in the “Employee Network/Email Account Provisioning” policy: https://www.ric.edu/oirp/pdf/EmployeeNetwork-EmailAcctProvisioningPolicyv2.pdf
All individuals may open and retain indefinitely a personal (not college-related) OneDrive account at www.onedrive.com.
Students
Students are eligible to download the latest Microsoft Office Suite. Information can be found by clicking the following link: /uss/Pages/Microsoft-Office-Software.aspx.
When you graduate, your licensing changes and you have access to Exchange (Outlook email) only. Your OneDrive for Business will go away and any software you have installed will no longer be licensed. If you want to use Word and other Office applications, you will need to purchase a valid license.
