Bio

Kristen Pepin is an educator to the core. She is passionate about creating welcoming environments where people feel comfortable stepping outside of their comfort zones to increase the potential for collaboration, innovation, and discovery. She truly believes in the mind-body connection and incorporates movement into as many lessons as possible. Kristen is currently teaching at her alma mater, Rhode Island College, where she double majored in Health and Physical Education and earned a certificate in Adapted Physical Education. She earned her M.Ed, with a specialization in Adventure Education from Plymouth State University. In addition to the higher education setting, Kristen teaches Preschool Physical Education at Henry Barnard School in Providence, RI, is a gymnastics coach for Ocean State School of Gymnastics in Lincoln, RI, and leads workshops in the community focused on teaching strategies for community educators. Outside of work, Kristen is embracing her journey towards earning her Ph.D in Education. The Ph.D program is a joint program between RIC and URI, the focus of her studies is in adult and higher education.
