Odile Mattiauda
Biography
Dr. Mattiauda teaches undergraduate/graduate courses in Educational Studies and in the Gender and Women’s Studies program at Rhode Island College, and undergraduate courses in French at the University of Rhode Island. She consults in evaluating and assessing local and international educational programs. Clients have included The American School in London, and early childhood education and HIV-AIDS prevention and education programs in Rhode Island. She is the co-founder of the French-American School of Rhode Island and a certified sexuality educator. She served on the board of directors of Sojourner House, a leading domestic violence and sexual assault agency in Rhode Island from 2011 to 2019, and was the board secretary for one term. A yogini, she sings soprano with the First Unitarian Church of Providence Community Band and with the Chorus of East Providence. She has performed with the Chorus of East Providence in the United States, including at Trinity Repertory in Providence, RI, and at Carnegie Hall, NY, and in Ireland, and will perform in Portugal in the summer of 2020.
