PROVIDENCE, R.I. – RIC’s Performing Arts Series will present Tango Buenos Aires, a dance company direct from Argentina, on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 7:30 p.m. in Roberts Hall Auditorium (reserved seating $35). This production is titled “Song of Eva Perón,” tracing her rise to fame in the 1930s to her early death in 1952.

New York-based KEIGWIN + COMPANY (K+C), also presented by the Performing Arts Series, will take the stage on Wednesday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m. in Roberts Hall Auditorium (reserved seating $35). K+C’s repertoire has been described as an “electrifying brand of contemporary dance” that embodies “a theatrical sensibility of wit, style and heart.”

RIC will also offer two student productions this season:

From Feb. 13-15 the RIC Dance Company will hold its annual Spring Dance Concert in Sapinsley Hall (admission $15), featuring choreography by Jennifer Archibald, Kellie Ann Lynch, Deb Meunier, Jessica Pearson, Marta Renzi and Jenny Rocha. Concert times are 7:30 p.m. (Feb. 13-14) and 2 p.m. (Feb. 15).

The RIC Dance Company’s final performance of the season – the Student Choreography Showcase – will be a culmination of a yearlong exploration of dance through classes and teacher-mentored rehearsals. The showcase will be held on Thursday, April 30, and Friday, May 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the Forman Theatre (admission $15).
