RIC Alumni Mark and Pam Mancini Contribute $200K
to Armand Patrucco Fund

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Rhode Island College alumni and New York residents Mark ’90 and Pam ’86 Mancini have entrusted a gift of $200,000 to the Dr. Armand Patrucco Endowed Scholarship Fund. Scholarships from this fund help cover one year of in-state tuition for a Rhode Island College student.

The fund was started by the Mancinis in 2001 in honor of their former RIC history professor, Armand Patrucco. They recalled Patrucco’s great commitment, strong character and positive influence on them and countless other RIC students during his 34 years at Rhode Island College.

In the years since the fund’s inception, over $9,000 has been awarded to students who demonstrated similar character and commitment to that of Patrucco and who possessed a financial need.

“Rhode Island College is both grateful and honored by Mark and Pam’s generous contribution,” said RIC President Frank D. Sánchez. “Their deep understanding of RIC, our values, students and faculty is a strong testament to our alumni. Their gift will have a significant and lasting impact on students for years to come.”

Rhode Island College Foundation Executive Director Ed Pacheco added, “The Rhode Island College Foundation is humbled by Mark and Pam’s generosity. Whether hosting an event, volunteering as members of the Foundation Board of Directors or lending their collective expertise, the Mancinis epitomize the very definition of philanthropy.”

The Mancinis hope that their gift will inspire others to consider supporting RIC students.

Pam Mancini is a member of the Rhode Island College Foundation board of directors.
