Special Features of the Program

The M.Ed. in TESOL Program offers a dynamic mix of summer institutes and on-campus offerings to promote best practices in schools.

Holders of an early childhood, elementary, secondary certificate, or K-12 teaching certificate may obtain a ESL and/or Bilingual Dual Language Certification as a secondary certificate.

In addition to the M.Ed. programs, RIC offers two Certificate of Graduate Studies Prorgams (CGS) in TESOL and TESOL/Bilingual Education Concentration.

Please note that the TESO​L Program accepts applications for March 1st for fall admission and November 1st for spring admission, but students are allowed to take up to three courses prior to matriculating into a program. APPLY HERE!

The MLL endorsement is available to both graduate and undergraduate students. As long as you have taken a general methods course you are welcome to register for the class. If you are not currently a student at RIC, you can register as a non-degree student. See more information on the MLL endorsement HERE.
