RIC HOPE Line

Do you feel distressed? Do you wish to speak with someone? Please call the 24/7 Rhode Island College HOPE line: 401-456-HOPE (4673). The HOPE line is in addition to the counseling center and has been established to provide continuous support to our campus community. Please note that if you are in need of immediate support, please dial 911 and proceed to your local emergency room.


Learning for Life

Learning for Life (L4L) connects students to on and off campus resources and opportunities, empowering them to overcome obstacles on their journey to graduation. L4L’s team of trained Navigators serve as peer mentors and advocates for students. We strive to help build a community where students feel accepted, included, and safe. At L4L we see YOU! Located on level one of the Adams Library and open Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. – Give them a call at 456-6320.

Counseling Center

The Counseling Center at Rhode Island College offers same day emergency support during hours of operation, individual, group, and couples counseling, as well as various programs for students and offices within the campus community. Schedule an appointment online!
Located in Brown Hall, Suite 100 and open Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. – Give them a call at 456-8094.

Tutoring/OASIS

OASIS promotes academic success by assisting all students with questions about their academic path, learning strategies, or academic policies and procedures at Rhode Island College. If you need to have paper looked at before you submit it, swing by the Writing Center. Maybe you need some help studying for your math exam? Come to the Math Learning Center for some tutoring. OASIS can even help with study skills, time management or prioritization of tasks. All of these are located in one space in OASIS. Located on level one of the Adams Library and open Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-7 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. – Give them a call at 456-8083.

Health Services

Free physicals, primary and acute care, sick visits, STI screenings and prevention, women's health, contraception and free pregnancy tests, lab services, immunizations and free condoms. Come visit us! Located in Brown Hall and open Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 a.m. – Give them a call at 456-8055.​

Dean of Students and Office of Student Life​

The Office of Student Life provides programs, services, and co-curricular experiences that enhance student success. Our efforts promote an inclusive community and the development of leadership skills, critical thinking, global awareness, self-advocacy, career decision-making and job search skills. The Office of Student Life also improves the quality of student life by addressing students’ needs and issues and works to maintain student safety. Staff members are available to discuss general and specific questions and concerns about college life, transitional issues, policies, procedures and college services. We include support for academic, personal or social issues and concerns, assistance in adjusting to college life, and support in the event of a personal, medical or family emergency. Located on the 4th floor of the Student Union and open Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. - Give them a call at 456-8061.

Recreation Center​

Rhode Island College is committed in its support of programming for the entire student body through its recreation and intramural programs. We recognize that the educational benefits offered through diverse athletic and physical activities play a critical role in the personal development of those who wish to participate.
