RI College Student Leadership
Purpose Statement
RI College Student Leadership works to promote student leadership development. We accomplish these goals through programs such as Emerging Leader and the Student Leadership Weekend.
Opportunities to Lead
Emerging Leaders Program
The Student Union department and the Career Development Center hosts a Community Service Fair each September (online or in-person depending on current social distancing guidelines). Local non-profit agencies will be looking to engage with Rhode Island College students seeking to explore volunteer opportunities in our community. For more information, visit the
Emerging Leaders Website.
Leadership Weekend
RI College students are invited to participate in the annual Rhode Island College Student Leadership Weekend held off-campus at a retreat center each spring. Participants meet new people, gain leadership skills, and enjoy a weekend away from campus. For more information visit the
Leadership Weekend Website.
Student Leadership Awards
The Student Leadership Awards recognize Rhode Island College students who have demonstrated leadership potential both on and off campus. Students are identified through a nomination process and honored for their impact as leaders within our College, state, and global communities at a ceremony each spring semester.

Student Leadership Awards Website.
