The Rhode Island Association of People Supporting Employment First Conference - Creating Connections


The RIAPSE Statewide Conference 2023 will be held on Thursday, September 28, 12:30 - 4:30 PM, at the Radisson Airport Hotel, Warwick, RI. The conference is open to people with disabilities, family members, professionals, educators, administrators, and anyone interested in advancing competitive employment for persons with disabilities. The conference will be followed by a networking reception from 4:30 - 5:30 PM. Cost for APSE members is $35 and $45 for non-members. Scholarships are available. Registration extended until Monday, September 25, 2023.



Supporting Meaningful Employment Training Series


The next session of the Supporting Meaningful Employment ACRE Series will be held from September 14 to December 14, 2023. Sessions will be held at the Sherlock Center with the exception of the first session on September 14, which will meet by video conference. This series offers a person-centered approach to career planning, job development, and retention. Successful completing results in an ACRE Certificate. For learners who wish to take a more gradual approach to earning an ACRE Certificate, alternative options are available. Self-Directed Supports Network- September Meeting


The next meeting of the Self-Directed Supports Network is scheduled for Wednesday, September 20. The meeting will take place from 7:00 to 8:30 PM via Zoom. The guest presenter is Anne LeClerc, Associate Director of Program Performance, Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals (BHDDH). Attend and learn about the changes in services and individual budgets.
