Biography
Casey Seymour Kim is a professional actor and singer, and a proud member of Actors’ Equity. In New England, she has appeared in productions in several area theaters, among them the former Perishable Theatre and the Gamm Theatre in Warwick, RI, where she has been a resident actor for over a decade. She has worked with the theatre troupe Strange Attractor on both large-scale community-oriented happenings as well as intimate, site-specific devised creations. She has written short plays and songs for young students, as well as created and performed original pieces both at the Gamm and at Fringe theater festivals. She is a long-time member of Improv Jones, and Providence Improv, which hosts the annual Providence Improv Festival. She has taught high school theater arts classes at School One, and through Trinity Repertory Company, both in Providence. She has also taught theater arts and directed productions at the University of Rhode Island and at Providence College, respectively. She has served on the board and is a longtime supporter of the Manton Avenue Project, which provides arts and literacy opportunities for elementary school students in Providence.
