Useful Information​

Dates

The dates for MIRIC 2020 are:

Trumpet – June 29 – July 2
Flute & Clarinet – July 7 – 9
Percussion – July 13 – 16

General Meeting

We will meet in room 198 of the Nazarian Center at 10:00 a.m. on the first day of the workshop to provide information and answer questions. Parents are invited to stay for this meeting if they choose.

Meals

Lunch will NOT be provided. You may bring your own or purchase lunch at the Donovan Student Center (3 min walk from Nazarian Center on the RI College campus - accompanied by faculty members or student-assistant).  Participants with food allergies are strongly encouraged to bring their own lunch.

Security

The Campus Police Office is located in the Welcome Center. It is staffed 24/7. The phone number for Campus Police is 401-456-8888​.

Labeling

All belongings, especially instruments and bags, should be plainly marked with your name. Although Rhode Island College will use reasonable effort to protect student property, we are not in any way liable for the loss, theft or damage of any property belonging to students. Rhode Island College does not have insurance coverage on students' property. Students are encouraged to insure their property through a private insurance company.

Air Conditioning

Our rehearsal facilities are air-conditioned quite well -- you may want to have a light sweatshirt if you tend to get cold.

Attendance

Attendance will be taken at the beginning of each day. Dismissal each day will be at 2:30 pm. Commuters needing disciplining while waiting for parents may be sent home.
