“I started coming to the Learning for Life Center two months ago in order to receive guidance with my plans to graduate this year. I would like to say, everyone was extremely helpful in guiding me in the right direction, showing much support, as well as being highly professional. With their tremendous help, I was able to be approved to graduate this year. I would definitely recommend the Learning for Life Center to other students, as a place where students can go to with a variety of concerns and queries related to the college.”

"Hi L4L!

I wanted to say how tremendously I am to have had the support from L4L during my time @ RIC.
Thank you for the awesome Navigators for listening to my fears and troubles, and making me realize that this is just the beginning of a new chapter in my life. I’m not going to lie, I am a little afraid that I’m off to the real-world but I feel more safe and comfortable to know I can always turn to L4L for an advice. Thank you!
Paz y amor"

Learning for Life is exactly what every college campus should have, it is an all-inclusive space where students, faculty and staff can come and be welcomed with open arms, as a student who came into college afraid and not confident that I would be able to complete a college education, Learning for Life strengthened by confidence and serves as a compass in what seemed like a foreign land to me. Learning for Life has been one of the keys to my success… I have gained somuch from their program academically and emotionally, and I am thankful I had the chance to come across such a life changing organization.

“When you start to get involved with L4L other opportunities become revealed. Connections in Disability Services, Counseling Center, Health Services…Career Services…and what connections they may know once you visit…each of these services target different areas and encourage new connections.”

“The Learning for Life program at the Rhode Island College Unity Center helped me at a critical point in my life. I had little money, was hungry, and was unable to pay my rent. Thanks to the kind and understanding staff at the center, I was granted the Extraordinary Needs Fund, which enabled me to pay my rent. I was also given money so I was able to eat. I cannot thank the Unity Center and the Learning for Life staff enough for their help and compassion at such a critical time in my life.”
