International Students

Rhode Island College welcomes inquiries and applications from international students.

RIC has a diverse, multi-ethnic student community with 21% of undergraduate and 10% of graduate students identifying themselves as racial/ethnic minorities and a small but growing international population. Students here are members of a caring community that respects diversity and values academic excellence informed by cultural inquiry, civic engagement, and co-curricular activity. Our students value RIC's small class size with an average of 20 students.

Located on a 180-acre campus in Providence, Rhode Island, Rhode Island College (RIC) is a leading, comprehensive public college with over 9,000 students. Founded in 1854, the college is the first public institution of higher education in Rhode Island.

RIC offers nearly 90 undergraduate majors and programs and more than 40 graduate degrees.

Rhode Island College is located less than 3 miles from downtown Providence, providing you all the advantages of a great city from its suburban campus. From campus or downtown, Providence is less than an hour to Boston and just three hours to New York City.
