Dear Rhode Island College Community,
Words cannot adequately express how grateful I am for the level of support and pride shown for our college throughout the inaugural week festivities. Thank you to the team of talented students, faculty, staff and alumni who put the week together. To all who attended, I thank you for making each event absolutely memorable.

During my Inaugural remarks, I was proud to recognize the talents of all those who contribute making the RIC community a force within the region – students, faculty, staff, administrators, public and private partners, as well as donors. I was also proud to announce the
First-in-Family Fund, which will support and honor those Rhode Islanders who are the first in their family to attend college.
Finally, because I believe technology is a necessary and essential element of RIC’s future, I introduced to the college A Decade of Technology. As we move through the strategic planning process, I will further elaborate on how RIC plans to embrace technology to ensure the college meets new educational demands of the future.
