Admissions Requirements

All students will meet with the institute’s director, Dr. Susan Zoll, to determine an individualized program of study. Appointments may be schedule by email at szoll@ric.edu or by phone at (401) 456-8414. Candidates are then required to obtain admission to Rhode Island College as a transfer or second bachelor’s degree candidate by completing the online Common Application (www.commonapp.org) prior to beginning the program. Please note:The $50 appli- cation fee is waived for this program.

Feinstein School of Education and Human Development (FSEHD)

To be accepted into FSEHD, student must complete the Praxis/CORE exam within the first three semes- ters of the program. Academic supports are provid- ed as part of the students’ program of study.

In addition to the outline of courses in either program of study, students will need to complete CEP 315 and FNED 346, as well as any outstanding General Education courses.These courses will not be scheduled as part of the cohort, but will be complet- ed by students individually. All program requirements must be completed prior to student teaching.​
