Teleworking Extension Procedures

March 23, 2020

Dear Rhode Island College Employees,

Many RIC employees have filed for and have been approved to temporarily telework. As such, some teleworking agreements are ending soon. As the COVID-19 situation is fluid, it is expected that current teleworking agreements may require extending. Employees are not required to submit a new package for approval. Instead, please discuss with your supervisor extending the current agreement. Once approved, supervisors are asked to email a list of the employees approved for extension, including changes in terms as well as the new anticipated end date, to Maggie Sullivan, Director of HR, msullivan@ric.edu to amend the agreements. Upon approval, the supervisor will notify the employee; new copies of the agreement will not be mailed. All other rules of the Teleworking Policy will continue to apply.

PLEASE NOTE: The teleworking process does not apply to faculty and adjuncts.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Maggie Sullivan
Director, Human Resources
