Dispositions

The Feinstein School has developed a new dispositions instrument which is administered at least three times in the FSEHD student’s career: entry, midpoint and near completion. In addition, the instrument is completed by the student, a college supervisor and a clinical supervisor at each point.

The new instrument is distinct form the previous instrument in that it addresses a wider range of dispositions and has anchors, or examples of behaviors, to help determine to what extent the student is demonstrating that disposition over time. The disposition instruments for all three evaluators are essentially the same and samples for the clinical/college supervisor and self-evaluation are linked.

Training of clinical and college supervisors in use of the new instrument has occurred at Partnerships and Placements student teaching forum starting Fall 2018.
