Facilities and Operations
Welcome
Our mission is to support the Rhode Island College community by improving the quality of the campus through planning, constructing and maintaining and by providing superior services in an effective and environmentally-conscience manner to enhance student learning.
The office of Facilities and Operations provides 24-hour support services to students, faculty and staff in a timely manner through the use of a computerized work order system for maintenance and emergency repairs.
Facilities and Operations' primary functions include general maintenance, custodial, and grounds maintenance for the college campus as well as warehouse services, utilities, fire safety, event support, signage, recycling and snow removal.

Submitting a Work Order:
For all work order requests, visit
https://servicecenter.ric.edu/ and login using your network ID and password or email
facilitieswo@ric.edu with your request. A work order will be placed for you with the information provided and a technician will be assigned to the request. If you require immediate assistance, contact the office of Facilities and Operations at (401) 456-8262.
Campus Emergencies
In the event of an emergency during regular business hours, contact the Office of Facilities and Operations at (401) 456-8262. For emergencies occurring weekdays after 4:00 p.m., weekends and holidays, please contact Campus Police at the Office of Security and Safety at (401) 456-8888. Campus Security will respond to the emergency and contact the appropriate facilities staff, if necessary.
