I am a former high school English teacher from New Jersey who comes to RIC by way of the Graduate Center of the City University of NY, in NYC, where I earned my PhD in Urban Education with a specialization in Educational Policy. I am an educator, scholar, and activist whose work focuses on the links among race, class, political economy, urban education, and inequality in U.S. society.
