Computer Science and Information Systems​RIC computer students

The Computer Science and Information Systems (CSIS) Department includes the Computer Science (CS) and Computer Information Systems (CIS) programs at Rhode Island College.  This new department showcases the technology-related offerings at the college and promotes collaboration among faculty for research, course and program development, fostering innovation to better meet state and IT industry needs.  Students will have increased opportunities to engage in cross-discipline courses, student organizations/events, industry contacts, and job/internship opportunities.  This department also provides the structure needed to enhance existing and develop new relationships with the community.   This includes programs and organizations like CS4RI, the RI STEAM Center, GenCyber, MWM (Million Women Mentors) RI, NCWIT (National Center for Women & Information), and many others.
