Allison Silvers
Allison is a licensed clinical psychologist and licensed mental health counselor. She began her academic journey by attending CCRI and transferring to RIC for her undergraduate degree. She then obtained a master’s degree at the University of Hartford. In 2019 she earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology after completing an APA-accredited internship in Health Service Psychology. Allison has experience working in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings providing therapy and conducting psychological assessments. She also has provided therapy in many area college counseling centers prior to coming to RIC.
Allison’s approach to providing therapeutic services is based on the unique needs of each individual. Making sure therapy is collaborative and growth oriented is important to Allison. Therefore, she utilizes an integrative approach to treatment, with emphasis on person-centered and cognitive behavioral strategies.
