If you are interested in beekeeping and starting your own hive there are courses to take at Rhode Island College. Taught by RIBA member Betty Menucucci, this five week class runs in the spring and has a summer inclusion to visit the hives. It teaches the basics of hive structure, picking your hive, terminology, husbandry techniques, diseases, and more. These courses are open to the community.
