Annual 2D Faculty Exhibition

August 31 - September 22, 2017

Opening Reception: August 31, 5-8 p.m.

John Rapczak, Futility and Enchantment, Etching, Aquatint and Chine Colle on Pale Blue Echizen Shikibu Gampi, 23"x18", 2017.

The Annual Faculty Exhibition is an opportunity for the college and the community to experience firsthand the inspiring talent that is in residence at Rhode Island College.

The artists on the faculty are very much a part of the current aesthetic and formal dialogue in their various approaches to art making, including research-based and interdisciplinary methods that are at the core of best practice models. RIC’s faculty exhibits widely and are recipients of many prestigious awards, grants, and residencies. As a result, students are encouraged by their example to think across boundaries. These distinguished and award-winning artists collectively bring a unique vision to the region’s cultural tapestry.

Represented are the works of the 2D Faculty and Adjuncts. Gallery walk-throughs with the exhibiting artists are included during the reception.

This exhibition is curated by James Montford, Director of E. M. Bannister Gallery.
